Greetings Family and Consumer Science teachers!

The Department of Design and Merchandising at Colorado State University is excited to invite you and your students to our Spotlight on Design and Merchandising Day on March 7. This is an excellent way for your students to explore our Bachelor’s degrees in Apparel and Merchandising and Interior Design here at CSU. Our day starts at 1:00 with a presentation form the Office of Admissions followed by five sessions here in the department showcasing our majors. Once the sessions wrap up, you and your students will eat dinner at the Academic Village before heading over to our annual fashion show “Rendering Reality” at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins. This year’s fashion show will showcase the lines of 23 Apparel Design and Production Seniors. Again this year, our Juniors are also busy in their Draping class putting together garments made from recycled military parachutes for the show as well.

Here is the link where you will find a  form for your students to fill out along with a schedule for the day.

The cost for the entire day is $25 per person and includes dinner and a ticket to the fashion show that evening. We are limited to 100 people and applications to reserve your spot must be received by February 28. If you cannot bring your class to campus, please feel free to share the information with students who are able to attend on their own.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at kendra.allen@colostate.edu or call 970-491-3254. We look forward to seeing you.

Best,
